Privacy Policy: Push-Through Rails
Effective date: 11 October 2026
This policy explains what information the game Push-Through Rails collects, why, and the choices you have. The game is made by Yetibyte Studio ("we", "us"), operated by Yatish Jain in Australia.
If you have a question or request, email yetibytestudio@gmail.com.
The short version
- You don't need an account. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number.
- Your game progress (levels, stars, coins and boosters) is saved only on your device.
- We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the game is played, so we can improve it.
- The game is free because it shows ads from Google AdMob. On iPhone, ads use your device's advertising identifier only if you allow tracking when your iPhone asks.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.
- We don't sell your personal information.
What we collect and why
Game progress (stays on your device)
Your levels, stars, coins, boosters, lives and settings are stored in the game's files on your device. We don't receive them. Deleting the game deletes this data.
Gameplay analytics (Google Firebase Analytics)
To see which levels are too hard, how long sessions last and whether new features work, the game sends events such as:
- level started, completed or failed (with the number of moves and how far you got)
- boosters used, rewards claimed, ads offered and watched
- items viewed and bought in the shop (product and price, never payment details)
- app opens and how long the game is used
With these events, Firebase records technical information: a random identifier created for this installation of the app, device model, operating system version, app version, language, and approximate country or region. This information isn't linked to your name or contact details.
We've configured Firebase to use this data for analytics only: we've turned off its advertising features and its use for ad personalisation.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Ads keep the game free. To show ads and count them, AdMob receives information such as your device type, operating system, IP address (used to estimate your general location), and how you interact with ads.
- On iPhone, AdMob can use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you choose Allow when your iPhone asks whether the app may track you. If you don't allow it, you'll still see ads, but they won't be based on tracking across other companies' apps and websites.
- Ads are limited to content suitable for a general audience.
Purchases (Apple)
If you buy something in the game, Apple processes the payment. We receive confirmation of what you bought so we can deliver it. We don't receive your name, card details or Apple ID.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers that make the game work:
- Google (Firebase Analytics and AdMob): Google's privacy policy and how Google uses data from apps that use its services
- Apple (App Store and in-app purchases): Apple's privacy policy
We don't sell personal information for money. If you allow tracking on iPhone, advertising information may be used to show you more relevant ads across apps. Under some US state laws this counts as "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can stop it at any time; see Your choices below.
These providers may store and process information outside your country, including in the United States.
How long information is kept
- On your device: until you delete the game.
- Analytics: Firebase keeps event data for up to 14 months, then deletes it.
- Advertising: kept by Google under its own retention policies.
Your choices
- Tracking (iPhone): change it any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Your game data: delete the game to remove everything stored on your device.
- Requests: to ask about, access or delete analytics information, email us. Analytics data isn't linked to your identity, so we may need your help to find it, for example the date you installed the game and your device model.
Children
Push-Through Rails is a general-audience puzzle game and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Players in India: under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, anyone under 18 is a child. If you're under 18, please use the game only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Your rights by region
- Australia: we handle personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles. If you're not satisfied with our response to a privacy complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
- India: you may ask for information about the processing of your data, ask for corrections or erasure, and raise a grievance with us at the email above. We'll respond within the time required by law. If we can't resolve it, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
- United States: depending on your state, you may have the right to know, delete or correct personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising. Email us to make a request; we won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Security
We collect as little as we can, store progress only on your device, and use established providers that protect data in transit and at rest. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect what we handle.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the game.
